An Austin, Texas native,
Sarah Searight grew up exploring Pease Park and the hill country of Central Texas and drawing her favorite trees. Even while attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas, the artist would always find solace in Austin's soothing environment.

Calling both Austin and Ocracoke Island, North Carolina home, Sarah continues to draw her inspiration and subject matter from these personal sanctuaries. She feels a peaceful environment is important in life and communicates this sense of sanctuary through her work. Whether a stand of oak trees or dynamic ponds and oceans, Sarah captures the beauty of her surroundings. Sarah works in several mediums including oils, acrylic, and watercolor.
